北京时间3月1日，2020年国际乒联巡回赛卡塔尔赛开赛前，德国选手奥恰洛夫因自身严重感染而退出比赛。此前波尔也退赛。

　　奥恰洛夫在微博中写道：在匈牙利公开赛的半程中，我受到了严重的感染。后来我服用了抗生素，但是仍然觉得自己太虚弱，不能参加下周举行的德国全国锦标赛和卡塔尔公开赛。

　　我为那些想看我比赛的人感到遗憾。我想在回到赛场前能够完全的恢复。
